Terms of Service & Website Use
These Terms govern your use of the PinkTag Tech Summit website, PWA, accounts, and related digital services. By using the site you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are
PinkTag Tech Summit | Africa ("PinkTag", "we", "us", "our") is operated as a non-profit initiative powered by Echo Technologies (Pty) Ltd, registered in the Republic of South Africa. 2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using pinktagsummit.com, the PinkTag Progressive Web App (PWA), or any related service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, our Event Terms, and our Code of Conduct. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase tickets. Persons aged 16 or 17 may access the public site but may not transact. The summit and the Night Networking Festival are 18+ events; ID will be required at the door.
4. Accounts and security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate, current, complete information and keep it updated.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that breaches these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Scrape, harvest, or mass-download content or personal data.
- Reverse-engineer, probe, or interfere with the service or its security.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent affiliation.
- Upload malware, exploit code, or disruptive payloads.
- Use the service to harass, defame, or discriminate against any person.
6. Intellectual property
The PinkTag name, logo, brand assets, programme structure, stage names, copy, photography, video, and all original site content are the intellectual property of PinkTag and Echo Technologies (Pty) Ltd, protected under South African and international copyright, trade-mark, and unfair-competition law. No licence is granted except as expressly stated.
7. User-generated content
If you submit content (applications, profile data, comments, media, pitches, decks), you grant PinkTag a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display that content for the purpose of operating the summit and promoting future editions. You warrant that you own or have permission to grant this licence.
8. Third-party services and links
The service integrates third parties including Paystack (payments), Lovable Cloud (hosting and database), Google (OAuth, fonts), and may embed third-party media (e.g. YouTube). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.
9. Tickets and payments
Ticket purchases are governed by our Event Terms and Refund Policy. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise. Pricing, discount windows, and tier availability may change without notice; the price displayed at checkout is the price you pay.
10. Modifications and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We may amend these Terms by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date; continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from errors or harmful components.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- PinkTag, Echo Technologies (Pty) Ltd, and their directors, employees, contractors, partners, sponsors, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the service, the summit, or these Terms.
- Our aggregate liability for any direct loss arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the lesser of (a) the amount you paid to PinkTag in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ZAR 1,000.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act, where applicable).
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PinkTag, Echo Technologies (Pty) Ltd, and their representatives against any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the service, (b) your breach of these Terms, (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (d) any content you submit.
14. Force majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, civil unrest, government action, load-shedding, network or infrastructure failure, pandemic, or industrial dispute.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division, Johannesburg.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
