Code of Conduct
PinkTag is built with care. We hold every attendee, speaker, sponsor, exhibitor, partner, volunteer, and staff member to the same standard, on-site and on every PinkTag digital channel.

1. The standard
Treat every person with respect and dignity. Engage with curiosity and good faith. Disagree on the work, never on the person.
2. Zero tolerance
The following are never acceptable:
- Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation on any basis, including race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, nationality, age, or appearance.
- Sexual harassment, including unwelcome attention, comments, or contact.
- Threats, violence, or incitement to violence.
- Stalking or following any person on-site or online.
- Recording or photographing any person without their consent in private settings.
- Disruptive behaviour at sessions, stands, or networking spaces.
- Possession or use of illegal substances.
- Misuse of the PinkTag brand, badge, or accreditation.
3. Online conduct
The same standards apply on the PinkTag PWA, peer directory (where available), email and any official PinkTag channel.
4. Reporting
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code:
- On-site: approach any PinkTag steward (clearly badged) or visit the help desk at the main entrance.
- By email: pinktagsummit@gmail.com — clearly mark "CODE OF CONDUCT" in the subject.
- In an emergency: contact venue security immediately and call 10111 (SAPS) or 10177 (medical).
Reports are handled confidentially and taken seriously. We will not retaliate against good-faith reporters.
5. Sanctions
Breaches may result in any of the following, at PinkTag's sole discretion: a verbal warning, removal from a session, ejection from the venue without refund, revocation of accreditation, banning from future PinkTag events, account suspension or deletion, and reporting to the South African Police Service or other relevant authority.
6. Acceptance
By using the website or PWA, attending the summit, or representing PinkTag in any capacity, you accept this Code of Conduct.
